SUMMER HAS SETTLED INTO THE VINEYARDS. The canopies have filled, the gardens are generous, and the work has shifted from anticipation to observation. Theses are the weeks when we walk the vineyards each morning, watching what each place is teaching us, while the wines continue their quieter work in the cellar.
The growing season is never the work of vines alone. It belongs to forests and meadows, orchards and gardens, weather and wildlife, and the people who care for them. Each bottle carries something of those relationships forward, shaped by the season in which it was grown and the choices made along the way.
Today we're delighted to share three wines that feel especially at home in this moment of the year. Grace & Favour,Lupo in Bocca Ramato, and Alpenglow each offer a different expression of summer, whether gathered around a long table with friends or opened quietly as the evening light begins to soften.
Three wines for long evenings, generous tables, and the season ahead.
Grace & Favour
Some wines seem destined for a particular season. Grace & Favour is one of them.
Made by the traditional method and bottled with its fine natural bubbles, it is the bottle we reach for as friends begin to gather, while supper is still being prepared, or simply at the end of a day's work when the evening feels too beautiful to hurry through.
Bright, lively, and quietly generous, Grace & Favour is made for high summer and long evenings around the table.
There are wines that ask for your full attention, and there are wines that simply make the table more generous. Lupo in Bocca belongs to the latter.
Its gentle copper hue, bright freshness, and savory texture make it one of the bottles we return to throughout the summer—equally at home beside a simple lunch in the garden or a long evening meal shared with friends. It is a wine that seems happiest when passed around the table, poured again as conversation lingers.
Made for high summer, good food, and unhurried company.
Named for the last light that settles across the mountains at day's end, Alpenglow is a sparkling coferment of apple, pear, peach, and plum that captures the abundance of the season in a single bottle.
Bright, dry, and full of lively bubbles, it is the wine we reach for after a day in the vineyard, alongside a board of good cheese, ripe tomatoes, or fruit just picked from the tree. Made in collaboration with our dear friend Sarabeth Ivey, it is a celebration of harvest, friendship, and the unexpected beauty that comes from bringing different fruits—and different hands—together.
Made for long evenings, open windows, and the last light of summer.
