B. Loup No. 2
Lost Causes & Desperate Cases is a co-production by Deirdre Heekin x Camila Carrillo.
Rancio Sec is a dry, ancestral wine-making style hailing from the steep hills of south western Europe. This oxidative Solera of red wine, which goes back to the 2017 vintage, ages in glass demijohns, or bonbonnes, exposed to all the summer elements in our rose garden, just like in the light-kissed rancio sec tradition, then returns to the cool cellar for our snowy winters to sleep in a 50 year old Amontillado Sherry barrel. The resulting oxidative wine, not unlike Sherry, is nutty with dried fruits, and tastes of the sun.
