A SUNDAY AT LITTLE FORÊT
Little Forêt returns
to West Addison Sunday.
Over the years, we have found ourselves returning to the same simple idea in different forms: wine is best discovered around a table, with something good to eat and no reason to hurry.
Little Forêt is our seasonal caviste in the Champlain Valley—a place to taste Domaine La Garagista wines, settle in with a glass, enjoy a few seasonal and very cute snacks, and choose bottles to carry home for your own table.
A CAVISTE WITH THE SPIRIT
OF A CAVE À MANGER
In France, a caviste is a wine merchant and wine shop, often a place of conversation and discovery.
A cave à manger takes the idea a little further: a wine shop where you may also sit, drink, and have something simple to eat alongside the wines. You walk in and immediately understand the feeling.
Little Forêt borrows from both traditions. The wine remains at the center: wine to taste, wine to talk about, and wine to take home. The food is there to accompany the bottles and the afternoon.
THE WINES
AND THE AFTERNOON
For this Little Forêt, we will pour one featured flight of Domaine La Garagista wines, also available by the glass.
A few small tastes to enjoy alongside them, drawing from the season.
Come for a flight or a glass. Stay for a little while. Wander among the vines. And leave with bottles for the evenings still to come.

SUMMER HAS SETTLED INTO THE VINEYARDS. The canopies have filled, the gardens are generous, and the work has shifted from anticipation to observation. Theses are the weeks when we walk the vineyards each morning, watching what each place is teaching us, while the wines continue their quieter work in the cellar.
The growing season is never the work of vines alone. It belongs to forests and meadows, orchards and gardens, weather and wildlife, and the people who care for them. Each bottle carries something of those relationships forward, shaped by the season in which it was grown and the choices made along the way.
Today we're delighted to share three wines that feel especially at home in this moment of the year. Grace & Favour,Lupo in Bocca Ramato, and Alpenglow each offer a different expression of summer, whether gathered around a long table with friends or opened quietly as the evening light begins to soften.
Three wines for long evenings, generous tables, and the season ahead.
Grace & Favour
Some wines seem destined for a particular season. Grace & Favour is one of them.
Made by the traditional method and bottled with its fine natural bubbles, it is the bottle we reach for as friends begin to gather, while supper is still being prepared, or simply at the end of a day's work when the evening feels too beautiful to hurry through.
Bright, lively, and quietly generous, Grace & Favour is made for high summer and long evenings around the table.
There are wines that ask for your full attention, and there are wines that simply make the table more generous. Lupo in Bocca belongs to the latter.
Its gentle copper hue, bright freshness, and savory texture make it one of the bottles we return to throughout the summer—equally at home beside a simple lunch in the garden or a long evening meal shared with friends. It is a wine that seems happiest when passed around the table, poured again as conversation lingers.
Made for high summer, good food, and unhurried company.
Named for the last light that settles across the mountains at day's end, Alpenglow is a sparkling coferment of apple, pear, peach, and plum that captures the abundance of the season in a single bottle.
Bright, dry, and full of lively bubbles, it is the wine we reach for after a day in the vineyard, alongside a board of good cheese, ripe tomatoes, or fruit just picked from the tree. Made in collaboration with our dear friend Sarabeth Ivey, it is a celebration of harvest, friendship, and the unexpected beauty that comes from bringing different fruits—and different hands—together.
Made for long evenings, open windows, and the last light of summer.
If you're planning a drive into the hills and if you'd like to put together a few bottles for the weeks ahead, we'd love to welcome you for a short wine pick-up visit. We'll catch up, pour a taste or two, and help you choose wines you'll enjoy all summer.
Just reply to this email and we'll find a time that works.

https://mailchi.mp/lagaragista/new-releases-la-garagista-9321120From Domaine La Garagista: A Note from the Month of JuneA few thoughts from the vineyard, the table, and the long days of early summer.
Late June
Now that the Spring into Summer wines have found their way to your tables, we just wanted to say thank you.
It was a joy to see so many of you at Bar No'ella and over the course of pickup days. Those moments—sharing coffee and sparkling wine, catching up between bottles and flowers, seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones—are some of our favorite parts of the season. They remind us that wine is never really finished when it leaves the cellar. It only becomes complete when it is opened and shared.
Bar No'ella, June.
June has been full and green here. The vineyards are lush and demanding now, asking for attention almost daily. We spent last weekend in Brattleboro speaking about wine and climate change at the Brattleboro Museum, a conversation that left us thinking again about how fortunate we are to farm and make wine in community, and how much hope there is in tending places and relationships over time.
Meanwhile, summer has begun to shift at the table. The Solstice has arrived. Lunches stretch a little longer. The first herbs are abundant. Caleb has been leaning into simple meals: grilled vegetables, beans, aioli, arugula gathered from the garden, and a loaf of good bread set out without much ceremony. We've found ourselves opening bottles almost instinctively—perhaps the Lupo in Bocca with a chunk of that bread with butter and anchovies, or The Beguiled with an evening meal of pasta shared outdoors while the light lingers.
We hope the wines have begun to settle into your own rhythms and meals and gatherings. If you've opened wines, drop us a line to let us know what you are serving with them.
Summer meals beginning to shift.
Thank you for being part of this season with us. We think of The Forêt Wine Guild not so much as a membership, but as a circle of friends who help carry these vineyards and their stories forward.
If you still need to pick-up wines, just reply to this email, and we'll help facilitate. We want to be sure you get your bottles to enjoy!
Wishing you a beautiful beginning to summer,
Deirdre & Caleb

The vineyards are now in that brief, luminous passage between budbreak and bloom. Shoots are lengthening each day, leaf canopies are beginning to form, and the hills have fully turned toward summer.
It is a moment of steady acceleration—when everything is becoming, but nothing has yet settled into its final shape
In the cellar, we are also entering a new season of releases.
We are excited to share three new wines arriving just as summer begins to show itself:
Two new sparkling wines—bright, lifted, and perfect for early-season picnics and evening light.
We'll also be featuring a special cider coferment, an in-house collaboration, a mosaic drawn from the orchard, where fruit, place, and fermentation meet in a single expression of this landscape.
To mark this transition, we will be opening the Barnard tasting room for a morning-into-afternoon gathering:

If you haven't been able to join us before for one of these pop-ups, Bar No’ella is imagined as a mountain caffé bar—an Italian-inspired morning dug from our restaurant and bakery roots where wine is poured alongside coffee, bread, pastries, panini, and flowers gathered from the fields.
It is a way of spending time in the season rather than simply observing it.
We'll be serving:
• new sparkling wines
• cider coferment release
• fresh bread and pastries
• panini
• cappucino and espresso
• seasonal floral bouquets
Because everything is prepared fresh and in limited quantities, we would appreciate a note if you plan to join us.
You can simply reply to this email to let us know, and we will prepare accordingly. We hope to see you in the mountains for this morning between seasons.

Bar No’ella Sunday, June 14
10:30 am – 1:00 pm
Barnard, Vermont

We are choosing your selections!
Spring has arrived in the cellar.
We have prepared your Spring Foret Wine Guild CSA selections, and your wines are now ready to view in Vinoshipper. This season’s release gathers together wines that feel alive to spring — bright, textural, quietly wild, and made for long evenings, changing light, and the return of gathering around the table.
Across the Spring CSA, you will find sparkling wines for celebration and aperitivo, layered whites for the season’s first vegetables and lingering meals, and reds with freshness, warmth, and enough depth for the cool evenings that still accompany spring.
This release includes wines such as Swallows & Amazons Rosé Pét-Nat 2025, Lupo in Bocca Ramato 2024, Dark Horses Red 2024, Grace & Favour White Pét-Nat 2025, The Beguiled Sparkling Red & Peach Coferment 2024, and Found Love White Alpine Solera, with selections varying according to your 12-, 6-, or 3-bottle share.
As always, your share has been thoughtfully assembled, though you are welcome to customize your shipment before processing by adding on. We have also made a small collection of additional seasonal bottles available to add to your order — wines and cider chosen to accompany the spirit of the spring release.
Please log in to Vinoshipper to review your selection and make any additions or adjustments before orders are finalized.
Thank you, as always, for being part of the Foret Wine Guild. It is a pleasure to share these wines with you, and we hope they accompany the unfolding season with beauty, conviviality, and delight.
Warmly,
Deirdre & Caleb
You are now able to add wines to your order if you'd like.
The deadline for additions to your order will be Friday, May 29th.
Orders will be processed May 31st. {We can't print out labels and order sheets until your CSA has been processed}.
We will begin picking and packing the week of June 1st.
