Vinoteca: We are currently preparing a licensed space for the vinoteca, or tasting room, in our garage/barn here in Barnard.  We imagine a cozy room with a small tasting bar, a tasting table, shelves with bottles of wine, aging dem-johns and small old and worn oak casks.  In the good summer weather, wines can be tasted on the terrace or in the rose garden.   In the meantime, we have been known to throw private, personally hosted wine tastings for friends and family of our restaurant osteria pane e salute where those of us interested in getting together to share food and wine in a vineyard setting gather to learn something more from friends who are winemakers, importers, vineyardists, or other experts in the world of wine.
